Medical Camp 1

Prodigee Foundation conducted medical camps At Andheri Gilbert hill slums area for the dwellers and have been able to provide relief to the people of the lower income group. Free diagnosis was done on the dwellers present and accordingly free medicines were given to them.

Normally most public service organizations provide simple checkups and offer medicines like multi vitamins or antibiotics, but Prodigee decided to focus on specific issues plaguing the women in the area, namely

Asthma and breathing issues since they live in closed environments devoid of adequate ventilation and exposure to pollution

Hypertension as many women in that area have been branded as completely insane and are nervous wrecks. Further to being branded insane their husbands use this as an excuse to re marry leaving the women in further misery than before, lowering her self-esteem to ground zero.

Neuropathy for women with sensitivity of nerves issue in the slums considering the fact that they don't take care of themselves adequately. The women feet were tested to check out the levels of responses.

Dr. Satish Wagh - MBBS, MD (MED) headed the camp and was assisted by junior doctors under him. In case patients needed further investigations, the patients were taken by taxi to Bachchuali hospital where the doctor offers free treatment for patients.

The following is the summary of the patients who attended the camp and diagnosed with ailment. Medicines were brought by Prodigee Foundation as in the visuals and were distributed as per the prescriptions of the doctors.

The doctors entrusted with the task were MDs in medicine, as the diagnosis is symptomatic in nature. In the picture you can see how closely are the doctors examining the patients.
